About
Mission Statement
The purpose of Chi Rho Omicron shall be to promote the understanding, enrichment and appreciation of the Pilipino culture, history and heritage through a brotherhood/family environment; to instill the desire for self-improvement, scholastic excellence and the cultivation for civic responsibility.
History
Our seven founding fathers felt a need for the strengthening of Pilipino Unity. This would come through the extinguishing of lines between regions, class levels and language barriers. On February 20, 1995, this brotherhood became a reality on the campus of the California State University at Fresno, uniting both Pilipinos and non-Pilipinos.
Now, the campus of the University of California at Davis carries the elite brotherhood of Chi Rho Omicron. Established on June 28, 1999, our organization reaches to the community as a way of spreading Pilipino awareness and to provide a role model for those to follow. By holding out our hands to the public, we are not just supporting those in the community, we are helping ourselves as human beings.
The Zeta chapter at University of California at Davis was established on June 28, 1999. We hope for our organization to reach to the community through spreading an awareness of the Pilipino culture as well as to stand as respectful, model citizens. Most importantly, we exist to serve the community.
More
Chi Rho Omicron focuses on uniting and strengthening the Pilipino community through a brotherhood/family environment. Using the power of brotherhood, Chi Rho Omicron acts as a vehicle to promote Pilipino awareness to the community, instill Pilipino strength and pride, and to educate ourselves and our community in Pilipino culture and history.
